The "butterfly ballot" and the disfranchisement of the poor and the elderly

Design Matters was an exhibition sponsored by the Philadelphia chapter of the AIGA and open to all local designers and students. JKDA chose to develop this animation on the importance of design in socially and politically critical situations, in this case the butterfly ballot that many believe is responsible for George W. Bush's electoral "victory" (with
a little help from his friends, the Supremes) in 2000.
