In Passing

One of two black-and-white cal- endars in the series, In Passing

is divided between two photo- graphic projects: The American

Roadedge and Walking Paris.

The former is a collection of

photographs shot every minute

from a moving car between City

Hall Philadelphia and City Hall

Buffalo, and back. The latter

deals with the movement of

walking passersby, always below

the waist. Both projects utilized

a slow enough shutter speed

to communicate the feeling of

motion, slower or faster.
